It Opens at the Close
On August 30, 2016, Iliera and Sionis jumped into World of Warcraft: Legion.
This expansion is marked for me with one word:Β Raiding.
Prior to Legion, despite 12 years of playing, I had never raided above LFR difficulty. I honestly didn’t intend to break that trend until we were slowly “encouraged” to participate by the questing mechanics of Legion. Here’s looking at you,Β Balance of Power questline.
As I finished my heroic progression run and unlocked theΒ Violet Spellwing (which is awesome, btw), I started to feel the exhilaration of progression raiding fade. I spent more time chasing after a higher gear score, but as of today I’ve officially told our guild that it’s time for me to step back from raiding.

Β Things to Do
Battle for Azeroth releases on September 21, 2018.
That gives me less than six months to finish my Legion-related activities, which includes:
- Legion Pet Battles – My pet collection is seriously lacking!
- Leveling my Lightforged – I need them 110 by BFA launch!
- Leveling a Horde character – I plan on seeing the story of BFA from both sides!
- Mage Tower Challenges – Maybe… hopefully.
- Fishing Artifact Item
- Fishing Reputations
- Rank 3 Herbs
- First Aid 800
Once I have that stuff sorted, IΒ still need to work on everything else pre-Legion!
The Mage Returns
A while back, I started playing a paladin. Becoming a healer opened so many doors to raiding and in hindsight I realize that healing was super helpful in allowing me to access a lot of the Mythic dungeons and Heroic content early on in the expansion.
Jokingly, I sent my mage to Pandaria on a kind of sabbatical. There he would learn to focus his energy once more and hopefully some day return to the fight.

Sionis has always held a special place in my heart. His digital story has been going on for 12 years now. When I sent him away to main my paladin… well it felt wrong. In fact, theΒ longer I’ve been parted from him, the more I have felt guilty about it.
So, with Fynn finally taking a well deserved break after pushing through the heroic raid, it’s time to witness the return of Loremaster Sionis Sepher and his army of battle pets!
The world awaits!
