The story’s seasons are summarized here for quick reminders!
Season 1
The story begins with Johnathan Davis.
John wakes up in a white room with only the memory of his name. This room is called the Core. John learns that he is a new arrival to town, a place where many others just like him have taken on new lives in this mysterious world.

Over the course of time, John meets many citizens that live in Town. He begins to understand the town’s political structure and organization, including the Main Six, which is a group of six individuals that were the first to arrive from the Core.
These six individuals operate as a council, but Rayland Walsh holds the title of mayor.

John also comes to understand that every citizen has a skill. This is generally some kind of knowledge that is locked away in a citizen’s mind until the moment that they simply remember it all.
John discovers his ability appears to be writing, editing, and communicating with others effectively. This puts him in a unique position to help the town’s leadership communicate with the rest of the citizens. He is primarily charged with helping Olivia Sun, leader of the Explorers Group.
John becomes passionate about the Explorers themselves, and believes in their mission to better understand the environment in which they live. Is it a spaceship? Is it an underground facility? What is the Core? Where did the citizens come from before the white room? All of these questions needed answers, and Olivia was the key to finding them.
Indeed, the Explorers are eventually able to deploy an experimental vehicle, unsurprisingly named Explorer One, which flies into the skies over town.

As the town celebrates their new adventures, John listens in as the two pilots from the mission, David Nash and Flynn Brickshelm, tell Olivia about their discovery during their flight… a place called the Upper Level and a mysterious radio transmission!
Season 2
In season two, Explorer One is on another mission to the edge of the Upper Level. They have flown this route so many times it is practically a routine. Unfortunately, a tragic accident causes chaos in town and Explorer One is thought lost.

John and Ruby are sent to confirm that the vehicle crashed, but they are unable to locate it, though they do discover a broken wing and scattered debris. Before they can return to town, however, Olivia directs them to Willow Creek Farms. The owner has said that debris crashed in her crops and someone survived!
When John and Ruby arrive at the farm, however, they discover that the unconscious pilot is not one of their own and the crashed vessel looks like nothing they’ve seen in town.

Meanwhile, as the confusion around Explorer One builds, the citizens are also faced with a new crisis. A very pregnant woman arrives from the Core and immediately goes into labor. Thanks to the newly arrived Nima Patel, who discovers her skill as an obstetrician, the baby is safely delivered and the citizens have a chance to be excited about something new again.

While the town is elated with their new development, the story shifts back in time to the day of the Explorer One accident.
After colliding with an unidentified object, the entire right wing of Explorer One is ripped free from the vehicle frame. The pilot, Flynn Brickshelm, works his best to keep them in the air, ultimately opting to fly to the Upper Levels rather than attempting to return to the safety of the ground below.
The pair survive the crash landing, but they are unable to call for help.

After attempting to free Flynn from the crumpled cockpit of the ship, David Nash comes up with a plan to locate the source of the radio signal that they learned about in season one. He hopes they can the signal to call the Lower Level for help.
Flynn remains at the crash site while David leaves to send the signal. When he arrives at the radio tower, however, he is captured by an unknown entity.

Back in town, the pilot and the mysterious ship are brought to town. When the pilot does regain consciousness, he introduces himself as Ronin. He seems rather silly at first, but upon realizing that his ship was brought to town, he tries to warn the citizens they are in danger! The ship’s power crystal has to be taken far away as quickly as possible!

The council disagrees over how to handle the situation, but before they make a plan, they hear a rumbling in the streets and Ronin tells them it’s too late.
A large vessel descends on town.

When it arrives at Town Hall, a man climbs from within and introduces himself as Thresher. He informs Olivia and Rayland that he is here for the power crystal. Olivia considers resisting, but Thresher makes it clear he isn’t asking, and she relents. Thresher also reveals he rescued the pilot Flynn from the wrecked Explorer One. He returns the injured pilot to the citizens and promises to do the same with David Nash if he finds him. He then warns them never to come to the Upper Level.
Season 3
The third season of Township is divided between the citizens in the Lower Level, and David Nash, still lost in the Upper Level.
Lower Level
In the weeks following Thresher’s visit, the town has started to come to terms with the dangers that lurk in the Upper Level. Olivia Sun continues her work on a rescue mission to find David Nash while Rayland Walsh focuses on securing the safety of his citizens.

When Rayland learns Olivia has ignored his order to abandon a rescue mission he decides that she is too risky to have operating the Explorers. After a brief confrontation, Olivia agrees to do as she is told, but then retreats to the edge of town and steals the Explorer helicopter. Ruby Rose escapes, but Olivia is captured.

Rayland, completely blindsided by Olivia’s defiance, demands that she be locked up in the bank vault with the pilot Ronin. Bryan Steeles, a member of the town council, believes that both individuals have overstepped their bounds and begins a desperate attempt to negotiate the situation between the two.

Ruby arrives at the Grid. She informs Elsie Lamarr of the situation and Elsie is forced to take control of the Explorers. At first she attempts to calm Rayland Walsh, but she soon realizes that he will not negotiate. She quickly becomes his enemy.

Elsie determines Olivia is invaluable to the success of this entire standoff and decides she will find a way to break Olivia out of the town bank and bring her to the Grid. As plans are being put in place, Olivia and Ronin spend some time bonding.

John Davis, working with Samantha Valentine, breaks into the vault and helps them escape! The group finds their way to an extraction point and Ruby Rose brings in the helicopter to rescue them.

Olivia is reunited with the Explorers, and she remains convinced that a rescue mission must be launched to the Upper Level. As the confrontation between Rayland and Olivia continues to escalate, the Explorers receive a transmission over what Elsie determines to be a Ship-Wide Communication Network.
The message comes from David Nash. He tells them that he is alive and well, but that they must not come to the Upper Level. There are dangers that a rescue mission would be unprepared to face. The message is brief, but Olivia trusts David enough to take his word.

In town, Samantha Valentine becomes aware of a sinister plot. Leonard Calgray has bigger plans for his militia. He is ready to seize control of the town from the council and become a dictator of the highest order. She decides to take this information to Rayland, revealing her association to Leonard in the process, but also giving the council the advantage.
Rayland finally agrees to make peace with Olivia’s faction. The conflict in Town is resolved just as Leonard prepares to attempt his takeover. He is forced to back down once he realizes his takeover would likely result in the citizens rising up against him.

Upper Level
Meanwhile, in the Upper Level, David Nash’s fate is revealed.
Unlike Flynn, who was captured by Thresher, David Nash is taken in by a group calling themselves the Guardians. This includes a young rebellious type named Trevor, and another individual named Mike.

His time as prisoner is cut short by the arrival of a man named Thresher. After confronting the others for taking him prisoner, Thresher informs David that Flynn is home safe and that David will be returned as well.

Unfortunately, as David is being taken home, the ship he is on falls under attack. The pilot attempts to escape the situation, but a sudden explosion rips the vehicle apart and launches David Nash into the cold waters.

Left alone in the water, David assumes this might be the end.
After passing out from exhaustion, David is picked up by some local fishermen. They assume that he works for Thresher and they soon turn him over to an elderly man at a bait shop. The man, named Anton, explains his humble business is also a way point for the citizens that come and go from their city out to the ocean.

After David has a chance to recover from the accident and explain his story, Anton takes pity on him and agrees to let him stay at his bait shop until they can learn more about his situation. Unfortunately, that time soon comes to an end when his captors visit the bait shop. David confronts them, and with Anton’s support, sways their opinion.

The others take David Nash to the Hub. This sprawling metropolis is home to all of the citizens that arrive in the Upper Level from the Core. David learns that there is another exit from the Core here, and citizens arrive just like they do in the Lower Level.

Thresher’s forces soon threaten their realm and David is left in the Hub with Trevor’s sister, Annie. The pair work together to use the Ship-Wide Communication System so they can send a message directly to the Grid on the Lower Level. They successfully make a connection, but their time is limited. David sends what he can before the system short circuits and burns out on their end.

Christmas Special 2019

Thanks to Flynn’s dedication to helping people, his Protectors are a highly approved group of kind souls that are always there to help a citizen in need. In fact, the town firehouse has been gifted to Flynn recently, and he operates out of it with joy.
Flynn is put on the trail of construction tycoon William Everett, and he decided to pay the man a visit to make sure everything is okay in town. Flynn gains a traveling partner, named Grace, and they head out of town to William’s last known location.
When they find William, they quickly realize he is not doing anything nefarious… though they aren’t sure what it is he is doing. He invites them to see it for themselves.
William calls it the Winter Village.

After explaining his plans, he also invites Flynn to use a newly constructed firehouse as a Protector station. Flynn states he can’t stay, and William then asks if Grace would like the position. She refuses at first, but after getting Flynn’s blessing, she agrees.
Flynn then catches the train back home, happy that he can tell Bryan a good story with a pleasant ending.

Season Four
The new season kicks off with a few revelations. Flynn hides the stash of weapons that Rayland found in the Warehouse, Samantha escapes from her past deeds, and Flynn Brickshelm stumbles on a secret that Rayland Walsh might be keeping from the citizens of town!

In the Upper Level, we learn that David Nash is still trying to uncover the secret of Thresher and the conflict between the people of the Hub and Thresher’s minions.
Guided by Anton, David begins researching the past journals of Ronin, hoping to uncover some kind of secret that might help them understand.

Back in town, love begins to bloom as Bryan Steeles expresses his love for the town’s baker, Julia Reynolds. Meanwhile, Ruby Rose and Johnathan Davis express their admiration for one another, and Ruby is approached to participate in a new mission aboard Explorer Two.

Olivia, who has stepped down as a leader of the Explorer Group, now deals with her own inner turmoil. She appears to be having memories of a time before she arrived from the Core. While the images and flashes give her hints of something more, no one else in town has ever expressed an experience like this, so she has kept it secret as long as she can.
As she worries about her own sanity, she visits the only person she knows that is trained for these conversations. She and Samantha agree to keep this development between them, and Samantha seems genuine.

Flynn Brickshelm follows his lead, confronting Rayland Walsh about the town’s dark secret, but Rayland happily tells him of the “List” of names, a manifest, provided to him by none other than Elsie Lamarr!
Flynn wastes no time in confronting Elsie, who admits she discovered the list, which she believes to be a passenger manifest of every citizen on the World Ship. She gave this information to Rayland knowing that he would stir up controversy for Olivia. She knew this would be the case because… Olivia’s name is not on the list!

With that secret out of the way, Elsie focuses on her next goal, getting a quiet part of the World Ship operational again. Thanks to information provided by David Nash in the Upper Level, they have mastered how to open ship bulkheads and can access an area of the ship called the Garage. All parties agree to the plan and the citizen move ahead.
In the Upper Level, David Nash is caught off guard when Thresher attacks the Hub. Despite his attack, Thresher offers to send David home to town in the Lower Level, but when David agrees, Thresher departs, reminding David that he’s not part of this.

Thresher steals one of Ronin’s books, known as the Book of the Traveler and flees from the Hub. Knowing that he has what he wants, David is left confused and angry with the situation.
At this point, Anton, the friendly fisherman, reveals to David Nash that he is more than a mere friendly citizen. He explains the Core to David, as well as some elements of the World Ship. He also reveals that Thresher is not from this World Ship and is desperately trying to get back to his own home. Unfortunately, the only way to do that will put David’s World Ship in grave danger!

David rushes to the Lower Level aboard his ship, the Intrepid, in an attempt to cut off Thresher, who he believes will attack the Grid.
When he reaches the Lower Level, however, he discovers that the citizens have already opened the bulkhead to the Garage and Explorer Two is currently inside.
He attempts to warn them, but before he can, Thresher begins enacting his plan to steal a Traveler and the Garage seals shut as a safety process. The crew of Explorer Two and Thresher are inside.

Inside the Garage, Olivia and Ruby are warned by David Nash of the danger before their radio is cut off. They do their best to stop Thresher, but the Traveler begins to power up and the large bay doors of the Garage open to the void beyond.
With only moments to react, Ruby Rose follows Thresher’s vehicle inside the Traveler, and they land inside just as it departs from the World Ship!!!

The season ends with Explorer Two going MIA, Thresher accomplishing his goal, and David Nash coming to the Grid for a homecoming he never wanted to experience…
