Can we get back to writing, please!?

It’s been a long year.

Here in the United States, it’s been a really, really long year.

That’s not why I made this website. I don’t want to be a political pundit or a religious scholar, at least not on here. I will continue to stand up for what is right and what I believe in, but I want this place to be a haven for my creative writing, and that’s what it will be.

That doesn’t mean I won’t talk about touchy subjects; they’re going to keep coming up, but I have promised myself it’ll always be in the context of what I’m working on with my own personal writing projects. So, in a play on the famous Hamilton quote, I leaned into my blog title.

Where is Township!?

Good news, everyone. I have drafted the first novella that returns to Worldship 3906. The story is set ten years after the conclusion of the Township novel, and it will be titled… *drumroll*…

Worldship: Surface Warning

This story should be about the size of one of the old “seasons” of Township, and just like I used to do with those stories, the entirety of the surface warning will be published to Technicooldad.com, one episode per week, until the final episode is posted. As soon as the “finale” is posted, the ebook will be up for preorder, and the compiled story will be available on ereaders worldwide!

This should be coming in early 2026!

But that’s not all…

There’s more!?

That’s right. In addition to surface warning, I am also nearly done with The Flip Side, a new adventure set in the Worldship universe! This adventure will take us to the world of Zahiban, and the secrets we learn there will change everything we know about the cosmos!!!

The Flip Side is a full novel and will probably be closer in size to some of my other works, like The Hero of Hyla. This work should be coming out in late 2026.

Still MORE?!

By the end of 2026, the Worldship universe will include three unique adventures through Township, The Flamecaller of Stonehaven, and The Flip Side. From there, some tremendous adventures are coming for all our characters, and I don’t want to get tooooooo far into the weeds, but I want to leave you with one more hint at what’s to come in the years ahead.

So I’ll just say… keep an eye out for the Spindle.

I’ll be in touch very soon. More writing about writing. More writing about games and how they influence my writing, etc.

It’s a blog about writing. I remember that.

See you all around!
