Now that Season Three of Township has concluded, I’ve started fiddling around with some of the features in WordPress and improving the look of various media that I use for presenting content.
Recently, not related to my writing, I have spent some time building the new Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon. As I’ve been working on that, I’ve seen a lot of neat building methods used to make a normally flat LEGO plate look like the exterior of a mechanical surface, or a ship.
Having built a lot of LEGO sets, I had plenty of 1×1 pieces of various sizes and shapes, so I decided to give it a go and make up some physical letters that I might use to create a new logo for the show. Our creation was something like this…

I consulted with TechnicolorMom multiple times on that part, and she kindly offered her thoughts and opinions throughout my process.
Once we had a good mock up of what we liked, I turned to a new tool to help create and render a digital logo. It’s called Studio, and it was developed by the folks over at BrickLink. So far it has been an amazing tool for thinking up designs and seeing them come to life. I’m very much a novice, but I’ve determined that I might be able to use Studio to help fill the gap in some of the sets that will come in the next few seasons of Township.
Of course, there will be more on that in the coming weeks, but for now, I just wanted to share the new logos, as I am quite proud of how they turned out.
